Privacy Policy

Pixiwaves ("we", "us") provides the PixiScan app (the "App"). This policy explains what the App does with your information.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or receive any personal information on our servers. The App has no user accounts and does not upload your documents anywhere.

2. How your documents are handled

• Photos, scans, recognized text, and PDFs are stored only in the App's private storage on your device.
• Text recognition (OCR) and image processing happen on your device.
• When you choose to share or save a PDF or text, it goes only to the app or location you pick.
• You can delete a document at any time inside the App. Uninstalling the App removes all of its stored data.

3. Permissions

The App does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, or files. Scanning uses Google's document scanner, which handles the camera on your behalf. Gallery images are chosen through the system picker, so the App only receives the images you select.

4. Advertising

The current version of the App does not show advertising. If we introduce ads in the future, we will update this policy and the App's store listing before doing so, and explain what data the advertising provider collects.

5. Third-party components

The App uses Google ML Kit and Google Play services for text recognition and document scanning. These components run on your device and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Google may collect technical diagnostics as described in its documentation.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
